About The Author

Yolanda Richey

Yolanda Richey is from New Jersey but has made Virginia her home for over 30 years. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Virginia State University and her master’s degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. Her passion for working with young children led to her career as a licensed family childcare provider and she has held various positions directing childcare programs. Seeing a need for engaging professional development, she became involved in coaching/consulting with various early childhood initiatives and eventually formed her own agency, Professional Advising & Career Empowerment (P.A.C.E.), to inspire early educators through various innovative training opportunities. Working throughout the childcare industry for many years has taught her how to overcome struggles, be present in joyous moments, and love others. Her quote for living her best life is, “Keep God first, be kind, and run your race at your pace!”. She is excited to share her journey with you!
